North Carolina Colonial Note Fr#NC-72b March 9, 1754 8d PCGS 3 *Boar 9 Known*
The notes of the March 9, 1754 North Carolina issue had a minimalistic design and various seals. This early 8 Pence note features a boar vignette. Scarcer than higher denominations in the series. Although rough, of the 20,000 originally printed only 9 are known to exist today. These low denominations experienced a lot of handling and colonists went to great lengths to repair and extend the life of these notes. Decent vignette remains.
