North Carolina Colonial Note Fr#NC-77 March 9, 1754 10s PCGS 35 *Finest Known*

$955.00

The March 9, 1754 issue consisted of notes with a minimalistic design and various seals. This 10 Shilling note features an emblem of a dove. Only 8,000 of these early notes were originally printed. This mid-denomination 10 Shilling bill is significantly scarcer than higher denominations. Striking example of this early North Carolina note with light strong paper and bold black ink. The notes of this issue are almost always seen tattered in low grades. The eye appeal on this note is unmatched and the grade of 35 leaves this note at the top of the population report, finest known. Elite example and worthy of any high end collection, a true rarity in this condition.

Signers: John Swann, Lewis De Rosset, John Starkey, Samuel Swann
