This incredibly scarce North Carolina note was printed by James Davis in Newbern. These bills were interest bearing, redeemable with 6% interest on September 29, 1758. Only 5,306 Pounds worth of bills were printed in this issue and this 5 Pound example was the largest denomination. This bill features a typeset design with parts handwritten. Multiple contemporary annotations on the reverse. Very nice condition and only 7 are known to survive today.
