North Carolina Colonial Note Fr#NC-96 May 4, 1758 20s PCGS F-15 *Scarce*

$425.00

The May 4, 1758 North Carolina issue is generally scarce. Only 7,000 Pounds worth of these 6% interest bearing bills were printed. This note is larger in size than the 1760/1761 issue and was printed with a typeset and ornamental border design by James Davis. Of the 4,000 20 Shilling bills originally printed, only 21 are known to exist today. Multiple contemporary endorsements can be seen on the reverse. Decent condition as this series is usually seen in low grades with few survivors. Previously a part of the iconic Eric P. Newman collection.
