This early note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall, attractive legibility on both the front and back. On the reverse, “Printed by B. Franklin” can be read across the bottom and “To Counterfeit is Death” can be read across the top. A leaf nature print is visible on the middle of the reverse. Only 12 of these 10 shilling notes are known to exist today.
