$2,950.00

This early 5 Shilling note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Franklin implemented the British arms on the front rather than Penn arms. 1 crown can be seen embedded in the text representing 5 Shillings in value. Detailed nature print can be seen on the reverse. Exceptional example with strong signatures and wonderful legibility. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be clearly seen across the bottom of the reverse with “To Counterfeit is DEATH” on the top. Top notch quality for a Franklin note in VF+. Incredibly difficult to find this nice. Very scarce note with 9,900 originally printed and only 13 known to survive today. This VF-30 holds the top spot in the population report, finest known. An elite addition for any colonial collection.
