This early 20 Shilling note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Franklin implemented the British arms on the front rather than Penn arms. 4 crowns can be seen above the arms on the front, each representing 5 Shillings in value. Bold nature print can be seen on the reverse. Exceptional example with strong signatures and wonderful legibility. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be clearly seen across the bottom of the reverse with “To Counterfeit is DEATH” on the top. Top notch quality for a Franklin note in XF. Nearly impossible to find this nice. The minor staining on the front blends in pretty well with the darker paper tone, looks great in hand. An elite addition for any high end collection.

Signers: Thomas Tilbury, Joseph King, Thomas Gordon
