Pennsylvania Colonial Note Fr#PA-126 June 1, 1764 20s PMG 15 *Printed by Ben Franklin*
This 20 Shilling note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Franklin implemented the British arms on the front rather than Penn arms. 4 crowns can be seen above the arms on the front, each representing 5 Shillings in value. Nature print can be seen on the reverse. Very nice example with very clear signatures and overall nice legibility. Incredibly bold ink on the reverse and “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be clearly seen across the bottom of the reverse. Hard to find these early notes this bold.
Signers: Enoch Story, Thomas Wharton, Jonathan Evans
