Pennsylvania Colonial Note Fr#PA-126 June 18, 1764 20s PMG 25 *Ben Franklin*
This 20 Shilling note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Franklin implemented the British arms on the front rather than Penn arms. 4 crowns can be seen above the arms on the front, each representing 5 Shillings in value. Nature print can be seen on the reverse. Lovely example with strong signatures and wonderful legibility throughout. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be clearly seen across the bottom of the reverse with “To Counterfeit is DEATH” on the top. Fantastic example with very strong eye appeal in tough to find VF condition.
Signers: Jonathan Mifflin, Samuel Morris Jr.
