This 20 Shilling note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. Franklin implemented the British arms on the front rather than Penn arms. 4 crowns can be seen above the arms on the front, each representing 5 Shillings in value. Nature print can be seen on the reverse. Lovely problem free and choice Fine example with strong signatures and wonderful legibility throughout. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be seen clearly across the bottom of the reverse with “To Counterfeit is DEATH” on the top. Fantastic eye appeal for the grade, and incredibly difficult to find in problem free condition. A must have for any colonial collection, printed by an American legend and Founding Father.
Signers: Samuel Rhoads Jr, T. Mayburry, William Lloyd
