This 1772 Pennsylvania note was engraved by James Smither and printed by Hall and Sellers on paper containing blue thread and mica flake. The front has the state arms and pillar style borders. The reverse features a neat chevron and ornamental border design with “To Counterfeit is DEATH” at the top. Very well done contemporary sewing on the left side showing the great lengths colonists went to keep these notes in circulation. Neat piece at an affordable price.
