The primary purpose of the March 20, 1773 Pennsylvania issue was to fund the construction of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, piers, and buoys. The reverse features an engraving of the lighthouse. The pillars on the front have the words “LIGHT HOUSE” and “PIERS & BOUYS”. Printed by Hall and Sellers on paper containing mica flake and blue thread. Very nice mid-grade note. Only 3,000 originally printed.
