Pennsylvania Colonial Note Fr#PA-162 March 20, 1773 16s PCGS 20 *Lighthouse*
The primary purpose of the March 20, 1773 Pennsylvania issue was to fund the construction of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, piers, and buoys. The reverse features an engraving of the lighthouse. The pillars on the front have the words “LIGHT HOUSE” and “PIERS & BOUYS”. This 16 shilling bill is the highest denomination of the 3/20/1773 issue. Printed by Hall and Sellers on paper containing mica flake and blue thread. Very nice example for the grade.
