Comments: “Stains Lightened”
This Pennsylvania note from the October 25, 1775 issue was printed by Hall and Sellers on paper containing blue threads and mica flakes. Issued at the beginning of the American Revolution. The 4 lowest denominations (including this 6 Pence note) were smaller in size and feature type-set on the reverse rather than nature print. The Penn Arms and elaborate borders can be seen with the front. Wholesome VF note with eye appeal and a strong signature.
Signers: Richard Humphreys
