The purpose of this late April 20, 1781 issue was to support the Army and replace depreciated pervious issues. The dots that encircle the emblem denote the denomination of this note (3 dots each representing 3 Pence). This note was printed by John Dunlap on paper that is watermarked “PENNSYLVANIA” in 2 lines. The reverse has a type-set design and “To Counterfeit is Death”. Very clean problem free example with superb eye appeal for the grade. Hard to find with only 30 known.
