The purpose of this late April 20, 1781 issue was to support the Army and replace depreciated pervious issues. This note was printed by John Dunlap on paper that is watermarked “PENNSYLVANIA” in 2 lines. Beautiful emblem on the front with a ship, farming equipment and wheat encircled by the motto “AGRICULTURE & COMMERCE”. Attratcive detailed boarders encircle the front with secret marks throughout. The reverse features a cleaner design with minimal ornamental boarders and a bold nature print with “To Counterfeit is Death”. Very scarce note with 29,077 originally printed and only 8 known to exist today.
