This early Pennsylvania note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. “Printed by B. Franklin” can be faintly made out along the top of the reverse along with nature print. Interestingly, this note was printed with an inverted back, frequently seen form this issue, possibly deliberately as an anti-counterfeiting measure or a simple error at Franklin’s print company. Scarce note, of the 22,000 originally printed only 13 are known to exist today.
