This early note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. On the reverse, “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be very clearly read across the bottom and “To Counterfeit is Death” can be read across the top. A leaf nature print is visible on the middle of the reverse. This April 25, 1759 issue is significantly more scarce than most other Franklin issues. This 10 Shilling note has only 3 examples that are known to survive today.
