This early note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. On the reverse, “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” can be very clearly read across the bottom and “To Counterfeit is Death” can be read across the top. A leaf nature print is visible on the middle of the reverse. This April 25, 1759 issue is significantly more scarce than most other Franklin issues. Of the 10,000 10 Shilling notes originally printed, only 4 are known to exist today. A true rarity printed by an American legend.
