Rhode Island Colonial Note Fr#RI-195 June 16, 1775 30s PMG VF-20 *2 Known*

$885.00

The June 16, 1775 Rhode Island issue was printed on thin paper by John Carter. This note has a minimalistic typeset design with an emblem of an anchor encircled by the latin motto “IN TE DOMINE SPERAMUS” (In you, Lord, we trust). There is also a fish on the boarder above the serial number. This issue is incredibly scarce in every denomination. Of 2,000 originally printed, only two 30 Shilling bills from this issue known to exist and it remains in incredible shape with bold ink and light paper. Phenomenal note worthy of the advanced collector.
