Sold Out

The November 6, 1775 Rhode Island issue was printed on thin paper by John Carter. This note has a minimalistic typeset design with an emblem of an anchor encircled by the latin motto “IN TE DOMINE SPERAMUS” (In you, Lord, we trust). This issue is generally scarce in every denomination. Lower denominations, such as this note were printed with a blank back. Very scarce note of the 12,000 originally printed, only 14 are known to exist today. Difficult to find in legible VF condition such as this note. Nice eye appeal for the grade. Newman lists this note for $2250 in VF.
