The notes of the May 22, 1777 Rhode Island issue had the primary purpose of relieving the shortage of small change currency. Printed with a minimalistic typeset design with blank backs. Incredibly scarce low denomination note. Of the 15,000 originally printed, only 11 are known to exist today. Lovely VF example with high eye appeal.
