Rhode Island Colonial Note Fr#RI-286 July 2, 1780 $5 PMG UNC 62 *Fully Signed*

$425.00

This bill from the July 2, 1780 Rhode Island issue was interest bearing and payable in Spanish milled dollars. Printed by Hall and Sellers featuring a black typeface design on the front and red & black ink on the back with emblems similar to Continental Currency. Printed on “CONFEDERATION” watermarked paper. Lovely uncirculated example with bright ink, paper, and signatures. PMG notes “small tear”, I am unable to locate it. Additionally, this note bears a reverse guaranty signature, much tougher than more commonly seen remainders.

Signers: Caleb Harris, Metcalfe Bowler, Jonathan Arnold (Guaranty)
