Interesting top boarder with birds and a beautiful anchor emblem at the center of the note. Higher denominations such as this 10 Shilling note have a printed back with elaborate ornamental boarders and a Death to Counterfeit warning. This issue was riddled with depreciation, by 1789 these notes only carried 10% of their original value. Consequently, over 96% of this issue was burned by the state between 1793 and 1803.
