This 1786 late issue Rhode Island uncut sheet was printed by Southwick & Barber and features a typeset design with an elaborate border and the Rhode Island State Arms on the left center. Higher denominations such as these 20 Shillings, 30 Shillings, 40 Shillings, and 3 Pound notes have a printed back. This issue was riddled with depreciation, by 1789 these notes only carried 10% of their original value. Consequently, over 96% of this issue was burned by the state between 1793 and 1803. Printed on watermarked paper. Gorgeous oversized uncut sheet of 4. These are extremely hard to find and represent the full printing process. Even more impressive, this example is problem free grading choice AU by PMG and has survived nearly 250 years intact. Fully signed and serial numbered.
