The notes of the April 10, 1778 South Carolina issue were printed on thin paper from engraved copper plates. This example is an extremely rare uncut strip consisting of a 3 Shilling, 9 Pence note and a 10 Shilling note. The 3s9d note has a beaver vignette and the 10s note features a palmetto vignette. Despite some damage to the right side of this strip, these notes appear to have minimal circulation.
