This note from the November 15, 1775 South Carolina issue is small in size and features a vignette of it’s denomination. This note was printed and engraved by James Oliphant with a blank reverse. This 2 Shilling, 6 Pence note was the lowest denomination of the issue and is incredibly scarce. Of the 10,000 2 Shilling, 6 Pence notes originally printed only 3 are known to survive today. Although lower grade the signatures, legibility, and a strong vignette remain.
