This South Carolina colonial note printed on thick brown paper by Peter Timothy in Charleston. This note features an emblem of a rooster encircled by the latin motto “ET SOLIET MARTI” (For the Sun and for Mars). The back is ornamented with Hebrew and Greek letters, with “Death to Counterfeit” appearing twice. This example is more desirable as it is fully signed and serial numbered, where many examples from this issue are remainders.
