This note features an emblem of a rooster encircled by the latin motto “ET SOLIET MARTI” (For the Sun and for Mars). The back is ornamented with Hebrew and Greek letters, with “Death to Counterfeit” appearing twice. This example is from the 12/23/1776 issue but the face is mis-printed “23rd Day of December, 1777”. $2 bills with this error are worth significantly more than Fr#SC-136a.
