This South Carolina colonial note printed on thick brown paper by Peter Timothy in Charleston. This note features an emblem of a horse encircled by the latin motto “DOMINUM GENEROSA RECUSAT” (The well born refuses a master). The back is ornamented with Hebrew and Greek letters, with “Death to Counterfeit” appearing twice. This example is significantly more desirable than its unsigned remainder counterpart.
