The notes of the April 10, 1778 South Carolina issue were printed on thin light paper from engraved copper plates. This 5 Shilling bill carries a striking vignette of a Phoenix. Gorgeous example with clean paper and bold ink that pops. With large margins I could see this note grading GEM any day. The quality of this example is fortified by the elusive gold sticker from GCC.
