The notes of the April 10, 1778 South Carolina issue were printed on thin paper from engraved copper plates. This 15 Shilling bill carries a gorgeous vignette of a rising sun. Extremely scarce compared to other denominations. Bold ink, especially on the vignette. Of 20,000 originally printed, only 19 are known to exist today.
