South Carolina Colonial Note Fr#SC-152 April 10, 1778 30s PMG 15 *Hope & Anchor*
The notes of the April 10, 1778 South Carolina issue were printed on thin paper from engraved copper plates. This 30 Shilling bill carries a stunning vignette of Hope & an anchor. This is the highest denomination note from the series and is extremely scarce compared to other denominations. Bold signatures and serial number remain. A tough piece for any colonial / South Carolina collection. Interestingly, it appears that someone back in the day practiced their hand writing on the reverse of this note.
Signers: Nicholas Langford, William. Roper
