This February 8, 1779 $90 note was elaborately engraved by Thomas Coram of Charleston. On the front, a soldier and the Latin motto “ARMISA CONCURRITE CAMPO” (Assemble the field of arms) can be seen on the bottom left. The reverse of this note features an incredible classical design of Hercules strangling a lion. Gorgeous note in choice AU condition with strong black ink, light & bright paper, and striking eye appeal. Difficult to find this nice in problem free condition besides contemporary annotations.
