This jumbo sized South Carolina note was authorized by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. These bills were printed on very thin and weak paper with engraved designs. This 10 Pound note features an emblem of a hand holding a sword with the latin motto “ET DEEUS IMNIPOTENS” (And Almighty God). Very attractive example with light paper, bold ink and complete. Hard to find these large bills this nice.
