This jumbo sized South Carolina note was authorized by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. These bills were printed on very thin and weak watermarked paper with engraved designs making them quite difficult to find whole. This 10 Pound note features a neat vignette of a hand holding a sword with the Latin motto “ET DEEUS IMNIPOTENS” (And Almighty God). Great example for the grade with light paper and bold ink remaining.
Signers: John Loyas, Jacob Motte, Gideon DuPont Jr., John Neufville, Peter Bacot
