This jumbo sized South Carolina note was authorized by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. These bills were printed on very thin and weak paper with engraved designs making them difficult to find whole. This 10 Pound note features an emblem of a hand holding a sword with the latin motto “ET DEEUS IMNIPOTENS” (And Almighty God). Very wholesome example, much nicer than usually seen. Lovely appearance for the grade.

Signers: Jacob Motte, John Berwick, Gideon DuPont Jr., John Neufville
