This jumbo sized South Carolina note was authorized by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. These bills were printed on very thin and weak watermarked paper with engraved designs making them quite difficult to find whole. This 10 Pound note features a neat vignette of a hand holding a sword with the Latin motto “ET DEEUS IMNIPOTENS” (And Almighty God). Lovely whole example, much nicer than usually seen and high eye appeal for the grade.

Signers: John Loyas, Thomas Middleton, John Berwick, John Neufville, Peter Bacot
