Stunning uncirculated uncut strip of 3 Virginia colonial notes. Bold printing and signatures. I was unable to find another example of an uncut strip with the same date and denominations, so this is possibly the only example known. The October 20, 1777 Virginia issue was printed on heavy rag paper with blue silk fibers and mica flakes. The dates on this issue were partially written by hand. The $1 note on this uncut strip features the Spanish Dollar Insignia, it along with the 2 fractional notes on this strip state “DEATH TO COUNTERFEIT” within the insignia. Printed by Alexander Perdie.
