The October 20, 1777 Virginia issue was printed by Alexander Perdie on heavy rag paper with blue silk fibers and mica flakes. The dates on this issue were partially written by hand. This $1 note has a very neat Spanish Reales Dollar insignia beneath the state arms with “Death to Counterfeit” within. Clean problem free example well deserving of the evergreen sticker from GCC.
