Beneath the state insignia is the Latin motto “SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS” (Ever thus to tyrants) can be seen. This note was printed on thick rag paper by A. Purdie or Clarkson & Davis. This $1 bill is extremely scarce with only 1 other example is known to exist. This note is TOP POP finest known with the other known example being graded a PMG 10 with mounting remnants.
