This small size July 17, 1775 note was printed on thick rag paper containing blue threads. The engraving and printing of these notes were done by William Waddill and Robert Scot. Interestingly, Scot went on to be the first engraver at the first U.S. Mint in Philadelphia. The front of this note features state arms and detailed borders with a blank reverse. This 1 Shilling, 3 Pence note has incredibly bold printing and a more interesting design than some of the other small size notes from this issue. Lovely eye appeal on this problem free VF.
